Incident management out of hours
Being able to respond effectively to incidents and issues that occur out of hours is an ongoing problem for most organisations. The pressure on communication teams during the pandemic has highlighted the need to have a process and policy in place. More than that staff that are expected to deal with issues out of hours need to be given relevant training to boost their confidence in making tough decisions on their own.
To help with this problem I have put together a three step package that will address those issues and ensure the out of hours cover is appropriate both to the demands on the organisation and the resources that are available. Each organisation is different and the process will ensure that is taken into account in the considerations.
I have already been able to work with teams to support them in being able to recognise those critical incidents and quickly respond. If you would like to know more about the out of hours responding package get in touch at amanda@amandacolemancomms.co.uk
First business birthday
Amanda Coleman Communications Ltd will be one year old on 23 March and it will be a time to celebrate but also to reflect. The same day marks the anniversary of the first lockdown that happened in the UK and the start of the Covid-19 crisis. I will be taking part in the minute’s silence at 12noon GMT and lighting my doorstep that evening. It has been a tough year and I hope we will be able to support each other on Tuesday.
Alongside that I will be giving a way a copy of my book Crisis Communication Strategies and sharing some thoughts on a year in business. Check out my Twitter account @amandacomms or find me on LinkedIn
