A Taste of Freedom
Many parts of the UK have this week seen the relaxation of some of the strict Covid-19 restrictions. This has included an end to the ‘stay home’ message to a more subtle ‘stay local’ message. People have the freedom to meet up outside in small groups which happened just as some early summer sun arrived.
In contrast large parts of Europe are facing further restrictions as they attempt to stop a further wave of Covid-19 cases.
I have been watching both the media reporting of the changes this week and the behaviour of people locally. There are significant risks ahead with the easing of restrictions. It will be interesting to see how the messaging and communication develops. In the UK the Hands, Face, Space has been expanded to include Fresh Air, in an attempt to encourage people only to meet outside.
What we need to see reinforced is a message that things are improving but there is a long way to go and we are still nowhere near the end of the pandemic. I would be interested in hearing your thoughts on the next phases of the pandemic and the messaging and actions that are important, email me amanda@amandacolemancomms.co.uk
